カメラ・オブスキュラが外界を反転させて像を結ぶように、能もまた、舞台の構造と面によって現実の位相を反転させ、見えない世界を立ち上がらせる。

Inverted World is a personal project that delves into the structure of Noh — a world where the visible and invisible, the living and the dead, the past and the present, arise as reflections of each other.

PHOTOGRAPHS

In Funa Benkei, Taira no Tomomori (平知盛), who died at Dan-no-ura,
returns as a vengeful spirit, bound by unresolved resentment and attachment,
crossing the boundary between the visible and the invisible.
